Unconditional love is good for your health

Unconditional love is good for your health. That is the reflection of the day. I was reflecting today on how beautiful it is to be able to love people unconditionally and be able to love so many people that way. I look back and I say, “Wow!, the love that I have for my children which I think for those of you that are parents can relate. This love is so unconditional no matter what they do. They can piss you off at times and you go back to loving them. You love them deeply no matter what they do. It is so beautiful because the love that you feel is love inside of you and it is feeding you. I say that is good for your health because I, ultimately, think we can learn to love more people unconditionally. It doesn’t mean that I’m saying people that are hurting you and people that are abusing you because obviously, I am totally against that. But it is the people that are there for you, that love you but are broken. They are people that need a lot of work and you just learn to see the goodness in their soul. You see that they’re just broken souls. Ultimately, we are all broken. I joke around that I sound like a broken record because I keep saying that we are all broken. It’s just that the difference is how much repair do you need to do? How much repair do you need to do with your life? That ‘s the key! So if we all thought about that perspective, then we would be a little more gentle. When other people fall down and they break down and they do things that are not, you know, normal or normal is not even the word because what’s normal to me might be abnormal to someone else. But it’s more when they do things that just don’t make sense let’s say. Then, we judge them and we get angry with them and we get to the point where sometimes we give up a little bit too fast and we forget that we come from a place where we have done maybe even worse things than those people. But somehow, I think there is a tendency to forget what happens in our lives. We tend to judge people with different eyes and to me that is sad because it loses our connection. I think, in the world, we all want to connect. This world would be a better place if we learn to understand that when somebody needs help. We are afraid to tell them what we see and have this radical honesty with them. We tend to just remove them from our circle of friends and not really embrace them and say, “You know, enough is enough! I’m giving you an opportunity, another chance but this is just unacceptable. I am not going to continue putting up with this behavior whatever it is. You know we have to respect everybody’s feelings and opinions. So this reflection is more for me, where I am looking within myself and I realized that I have tremendous patience for people. It is a good feeling and I think it actually contributes to my peace. I have this peace in my heart and in my soul that I keep talking about and it’s a peace that leads me into so many beautiful broken souls that are looking to be repaired. It’s so beautiful to see that. This is exactly why many of these people come into my world and they become part of the circle of Maria’s friends. Many of them, I call my family. So I really feel strong about the title that I gave to this podcast today. Where I really feel that unconditional love is good for your health. It brings you peace, it brings you patience and I think this is something that we need to do. We need to be more patient with other people and, at the same time, learn to be patient with ourselves. I want you to reflect on this. Are you giving up too easy? Sometimes, I give up on many righteous people. This is something to me where I determine where I am going to put my energy. If you are righteous, you know it all. You are black and white. There’s no grey area. That takes too many years to break down and I won’t put my energy there. But if you are open minded, you are able to take the love and criticism and you are able to take baby steps, then I would put all the energy that I can. When you fall down, the biggest fall, I would be there to pull you back and move you forward. I concentrate on the progress because everybody that I am coaching makes progress. Everybody just makes it a different way. So let’s reflect, reset and reconnect.
