Time and priorities. That is the reflection of the day. Today, out of the blue my brother, my oldest brother surprised me with a visit in the middle of the day. I was in the middle of chaos, having many challenges to deal with at work and when I heard his voice he said, “ Sister, I’d like to take you out to lunch. Are you available for a second?” I thought to myself, “ Oh my God, not today! I have so much to do. This is not going to work for me. But thank God that I have built this ability to understand my priorities in life. Although my business and my mission are the priority and it is high up there. It’s pretty much close to number one. My family, the people I love and love to connect with, is one of the biggest priorities in my life. That is what we leave. That is what we take. That connection. Those beautiful memories that we create. When we spend time in a peaceful way with our families and loved ones, it is truly what life is about. So I decided to go with him and leave everything just the way it was. I knew that I would come back and I would have to deal with the chaos. If I needed to work a little longer or I needed to go to sleep a little later, it didn’t matter to me. When I was with him having lunch for almost 2 hours, I was totally present to the conversations that we were having and how beautiful it was. We talked about my mother. We talked about our success. We talked about how much we love each other. We talked about our kids. Wow! As you can feel it in my voice, I am energized by this love. We kept saying to each other when we were leaving, I love you, I love you brother. I love you sister. How special is that? That’s really what matters in life! So today, I want you to reflect on this. On my reflection today. Where are your priorities? Are you saying “No” too many times when your loved ones are asking you to spend time with them? It could be your daughter, it could be your friend, it could be your wife, it could be your mother. Anyone that you have a connection with, that you love. Are you saying “No” too many times? Because if you are, reflect on where your priorities are. Reflect on what is important in life. Because, ultimately, that human connection is what feeds your soul. We are born into this world and we have a connection with our mother and our father. So from the moment you are born, the human connection is needed. I think, sometimes, we deviate so much from being connected to humanity that we lose ourselves. We lose ourselves in our work, we lose ourselves even in working out excessively, you lose yourself in alcohol and so many other sedations that we lose the human connection. So let’s reflect, reset and reconnect with Humanity today!
