Woman aims to turn her trauma into an agent of change for survivors of sexual abuse

After leaving behind a difficult childhood, Maria Trusa managed to become a successful and inspiring woman. She has worked to turn the traumatic experience she suffered at a young age into an agent of change for those who, like her, have survived sexual abuse.

When she was just 9 years old, Maria was handed over by her father to a man who took her to a hotel and abused her throughout the night and although it has been around 5 decades, she still retains scars from that night.

Currently, María Trusa, founder of the #YoDigoNoMás Movement and survivor of sexual abuse, decided to dedicate her life to being a light of hope for people who, like her, have suffered an experience as traumatic as sexual abuse.
