Who are you giving your power to? That is the reflection of the day.
In the era that we are living right now with the coronavirus, there is a tremendously difficult new challenge that many people are experiencing. The challenge is that now we are living most of the time at home and we don’t have an escape from toxic relationships that we have been having for years. Many people have gotten used to living in those toxic relationships but they had the escape of going to work, they had the escape of going to the gym, even the escape of going with friends out to a restaurant. For a while escaping their abusive relationships which now could even get worse. I was reflecting on how many people that are being physically abused are now being even more physically abused or going through a greater abuse. It is painful to think of how many people are going to their homes and staying there with these negative people that are just destroying their souls. This is why I wanted to reflect today on how important it is that everyday when you wake up and ask yourself this question. Who am I giving my power to when I wake up? Am I going to allow these people or this person to continue to destroy me? No! You don’t have to! You can take your power. It is yours to own but you need to reflect on a daily basis because it is so easy to get stuck in that toxic environment. I am seeing this already with friends of mine, where I know they’ve had abusive spouses and people that put them down. I am seeing their demeanor worsen causing them not to believe in themselves. You become witness to the pain in their face and hear when they speak. But you don’t have to be stuck. If you need to be in that space right now and you are not able to make a decision, you can take control of your mind. I would suggest for you to meditate. I know many people that find it difficult but this is the time to start meditating. It is the time to start being grateful, writing those things you are grateful for everyday and starting to feed your soul with positivity. It is important to listen to inspirational videos and read inspirational books; feeding your mind and your soul with positivity. It is a time to reflect on who you are giving your power to. Reflect, reset and reconnect!
