Today it’s me but tomorrow could be you. That is the reflection of today. I’ve noticed it more, I would say, throughout this past week, how many people have been left alone to deal with their pain during this crisis. It is heartbreaking to see the treatment that many people are experiencing from either the loss of someone or having been infected with the virus. How they get treated by others as if they had a plague. I know it’s scary to have to deal with people in front of you that had the virus because I’ve been dealing with it since last week as we are testing for the COVID-19 virus. But I want to make sure we, including our staff at FormĆ©, do not forget those people who need us today! Tomorrow, we might need them. We also need to keep in mind that love and kindness has to prevail. We cannot abandon them. We have to figure out a way to take away the limitations that exist and work around them. I am getting phone calls from people in Queens because they cannot find places where they can get tested. They cannot find someone that could help them because they have the virus and need to be seen after for treatment of symptoms. They are having a hard time getting someone to talk to them. Therefore, I will do everything I can to work around the obstacles that are resulting from this. There is a way! Where there’s a will, there’s a way! We have to figure out a way to help them. We cannot just abandon them and treat them with disrespect. That is what I am finding when I am speaking to people that are calling me, reaching out through social media and, even reaching out on my cell to let me know what they’re dealing with. How they’re dealing with the loss of loved ones but they’re also dealing with the loss of humanity as they are being treated without respect. So my ask of all of you today is to please reflect, reset and reconnect on how we are treating each other!
