The beautiful power of your voice. That is the reflection of the day. I was thinking back on how, long ago, voice texting became available and it took people a long time. Actually, I think it’s still not utilized as much as I believe they should be because hearing a voice message is so different than getting a text message. When you tell somebody in a text “ I love you”, it’s very different when you say “I love you” and the person can actually feel it through your voice. The connection of your voice is beautiful. Unfortunately, because of technology, we’re actually missing that connection more and more. Think about it: how many emails do you get, how many texts do you get, Facebook, Messenger, LinkedIn messages. Everywhere! I can tell you one thing, I use voice text messaging and that technology whenever available. Voice text messaging is available in Facebook Messenger. That’s how I communicate with everyone. My kids call me the queen of voice texting and I’ll take that Crown anytime because the other thing is that I know when I call them and I say to Jeffrey, “Have I told you lately how much I love you? I love you so much it hurts!” It is very different from getting a text message. It’s totally different. So my ask of you is try to use voice texting. I know, at the beginning, it takes a little bit of time because most people don’t like their voices but once you get used to it, you learn to appreciate your voice. I think most people are critical of their own voice and that’s the reason they don’t use voice text messaging as much. But it is so simple and just a little shift, but it’s a shift that would allow you to connect. So with that in mind, let’s reflect, reset and reconnect.
