The 3 R’s: A practical exercise in motivation and personal reflection
In life it is normal that there are certain moments which we feel a little low in our spirits, with our feeling in disarray and even with our goals and objectives not so clear. To find our focus again and concentrated on our being, we need a moment of personal reflection in which we can understand our feelings.  But how can we reconnect with that spiritual harmony that allows us to find our well-being? Through my podcast I have shared a series of exercises and tools that can help us in these moments, such as meditation. In this opportunity, I want to share with you an exercise that, personally, has helped me to find everything that may be feeling out of focus in my life, and thus concentrate on attracting positive energy that allows me to move forward and grow spirituality.  It is about following the 3 R’s, a practice that will undoubtedly help to meditate on everything that you feel is not working for your well-being in your life.

What are the 3 R’s?

Many people, when listening or reading about the 3 R’s, will surely move directly to the ecological concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, and although this is an excellent principle to conserve our environment, this time that  is not the focus.  When talking about the 3 R’s that will help you focus on yourself and analyze your current life, I mean the exercise of Reflect, Reset and Reconnect.  If you start to put each of these tools into practice in your daily life, you will undoubtedly be able to initiate a meditation process that will give you the opportunity to get to know your feelings better and focus on improving your habits, to find that well-being you may need so much.

How do the 3 R’s work?

The 3 R’s consist of 3 steps of personal reflection that, when you start practicing them in your life, can help you focus your energy and allow you to know what is going on in your mind at those moments when you do not feel at 100% to achieve your goals.  To practice the 3 R’s exercise you must follow these steps:
  • Reflect: To bring awareness to your life and focus on your well-being, it is important that you begin to reflect on everything that you consider is not working in your life, or that you believe is not contributing positively to move forward with your projects and achieve your professional and personal goals.
  • Reset: Once you have identified these negative aspects of your life, you must give yourself the opportunity to rest your mind, so you can identify the different ways you can reverse these feelings and turn them into virtudes that work for your physical and mental well-being.
  • Reconnect: All this exercise of personal reflection will allow you to reconnect with your essence and spirit, surrounding you with a positive energy that will be the fuel you need to lift your spirits and meet each of the goals you set, keeping your life in complete peace and harmony.
Remember that when you don’t feel energetic enough to fulfill your daily routines or tasks, you yourself have the power to know what is not working inside you, so solve it and start changing your mood positively.

Benefits of practicing personal reflection exercises on a daily basis

The fact of starting to put into practice all kinds of personal reflection exercises in your life, such as the 3 R’s, will bring you a lot of benefits that will boost your spiritual and professional growth, making you a much more stable, confident, capable and successful person.  To give you an idea, here are some of the main benefits that exercises like the 3 R’s will bring to your life:

Introspection, defined as “the examination or observation of one’s own mental  and emotional processes”, is a process that you can activate through the 3 R’s, allowing you to channel your inner energy into a positive change. Introspection, in a sense, is what allows you to detect your weaknesses and work to correct them.

Train your mind to improve your quality of life

Through the practice of personal reflection exercises, you can begin to identify everything that is not working in your life, so that you can begin to improve every aspect that will allow you to surround yourself with positive energy and improve your quality of life.    If you don’t stop for a moment to reflect on your awareness and mental health, chances are that you will constantly keep doing the same thing that is not giving you the results you are looking for. Remember that the definition of CRAZY is doing something over and over again, expecting to get different results.  I invite you to reflect and begin to change your way of acting and thinking, in order to change the course of your life. You have the power to choose the right path for yourself. Reflect, Reset and Reconnect with that wonderful being that lives within you.  Through my podcast I also share weekly different exercises and experiences of personal reflection that can be very useful for you.
