Be aware of how fear is taking control of your life. That is the reflection of today.
Today, I had a beautiful early morning coffee date with my son, Franco. We are always having philosophical conversations and our conversation today was based on how so many of us are on scarcity mode. How financially everyone is being affected and how that can bring out the ugliness and the darkside on many of us. How you feel that you’re losing so much and you tend to forget all that you have and who you have become. We have that ability of becoming self-centered, selfish and get to a place where Darkness takes over control of our lives. I want us to reflect on that. How are you letting the fear of losing so much take over your actions and the decisions that you are making where you might be forgetting about others. You might be reacting negatively to people that are loving you and trying to support you. You might be a little short and a little self-centered. So, how do we combat this animal because there is fear. So many others have the fear of losing our health, fear of losing loved ones. There are tons of fears during this crisis that we are living but I want to concentrate on the financial fear that we all have and how quickly we can lose track of everything that we currently have. How many people are suffering! I was watching a video of people in Ecuador where there are dead bodies on the streets. People who have been dead in their homes for days and even a week and the families have to experience this. So, I’m not saying don’t be in touch with your feelings because I think it is important to be sad, to be angry, to be frustrated, to have all those feelings and to be outraged about what is happening but how quickly can you get up and go back to gratitude. Gratitude is the key. Gratitude is the way. Gratitude is the path to happiness, to centeredness, to not be in a selfish mode. When you go back to gratitude, you get to appreciate what you have even if it’s a lot less than what you had. Let’s become aware of how we are allowing this fear to take over our lives. Let’s reflect, reset and reconnect with gratitude.
