
How to shift from a negative path to a positive one. That is the reflection of the day. So, we get triggered many times! We might not even know sometimes why we are triggered this way. But one thing that I have learned through the years is that when we are triggered, we need to figure out a way to go from that negative path. Because what happens is as soon as you get triggered, you start running into this path that is a negative one and I call it the low road. You go into this low road and it is so hard once you are on the low road to shift and take a curve into the high road. To learn the trick of shifting, as quickly as possible, from the low road to the high road, it is something that I truly believe that we should all take on. It is a beautiful way to live. I have one way, one way because there’s many ways of getting out of the low road but one way that I’m going to discuss with you today is a way to concentrate on gratitude. So I was listening, I was meditating and you know that I use the meditation calm. Their meditation was concentrating on how to take gratitude to be able to get out of that low road and she was talking about how you can take an exercise when you feel the trigger and you feel that you’re on the road, you start reciting 10 things that you’re grateful for. You start doing it faster and faster and you get to the point where you can shift yourself out of the low road into the high road by concentrating on gratitude. So I’ll give you an example and I tell people, “when you’re not able to find within your circle positive things, obviously, that is a problem because we all have a lot of positive things but most of us concentrate on what we don’t have instead of what we have. So, this is a way of putting yourself back into grateful mode. You can just concentrate on a beautiful tree, a smile that somebody gave you, the health of your children, the health of your grandchildren, the beautiful house you have, the beautiful car you have. Whatever, somebody, a neighbor that you have that is kind with you, the kind people that you have in the world, you concentrate on GOD. You know, whatever it is. Start making that list and if you have a hard time coming out, without a list in front of you, you create a list. Just concentrate on getting out of that low road as soon as possible and put yourself on the high road. Start the repair process. Throughout life, this is an ongoing journey that you’re going to have to go through this exercise, always. The key thing is to do it less and less because you’re going to spend most of your time on that high road. Let’s reflect, reset and reconnect.
