Exercises to implement gratitude in your daily routine.
Gratitude is one of the fundamental bases of faith, which I consider one of the most important pillars in my life. Being grateful for what we have, with who we are and everything around us, helps us to attract a positive energy that drives us to live a full life in complete harmony with our well-being. For many people, at first, it may sound a little strange that something as simple as being grateful, can attract so many benefits not only for the development of your daily life, but also for your overall health. However, there are many studies worldwide that have been responsible for determining each of the benefits of being grateful, so today there is enough scientific evidence of how this habit can positively impact your life. One of the most popular studies was conducted at the University of California, where it was determined that gratitude is directly related to the decrease in a person’s stress levels, as well as depression. Therefore, making gratitude a daily habit is an action that will undoubtedly help you feel much better about yourself, surrounding you with incredible energy that will improve every aspect of your life.

How to practice gratitude?

It is normal that, at the beginning, if we do not have a good enough guide, we do not know how to start implementing gratitude in our life and we may feel a little lost when trying to create this habit in our daily routine. So, here are 5 exercises that can help you discover the wonderful benefits of gratitude.

Daily gratitude messages

How often do you send messages of gratitude to the people around you? How often do you receive messages of gratitude from the people around you? If you do not receive them often, it is good that you start to take this habit in your daily life. The power of conveying a message of gratitude to the people around you not only impacts them but also you. It is an excellent way to feed your soul with happiness, because gratitude is the ideal formula to find happiness. Take a minute every morning to write a message of gratitude to your loved ones, your friends, and your family, so you can start your day with excellent energy.

A dose of gratitude to close the day

Every night, before you go to sleep, take the time to think about the day that has just passed and talk to a family member about 5 positive events that made you happy during that day. This is an exercise I often practice with my daughter NT, and it has helped both of us improve our well-being and even our family connection. Thank life for those little things that have made a difference in your daily life, these can be a good meal, a gesture from another person, a new opportunity that has arisen, an accomplishment in your work, etc. This exercise will also help you sleep better and, above all, to start the next day with the best vibes!

A gratitude journal

The act of writing down our thoughts gives them strength and power. When we focus on positive thoughts, the law of attraction causes beneficial experiences to occur in our lives. This exercise is also known as Journaling. Every day, write in a journal dedicated to gratitude, 10 things you are grateful for in your life, focusing on the simple pleasures that we tend to forget. Also, in this exercise you can let your creativity run wild, you can decorate the journal to your liking, with pictures that reflect those elements of gratitude.

Gratitude meditation

Meditation is an exercise that will always make you feel much better emotionally, and if you combine it with gratitude, the experience and positive impact on your life will be wonderful. Find a quiet place in your home, where you have no visual or sound distractions. Sit comfortably, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Meanwhile, think about how lucky you are to be alive, about the love your family gives you, about everything that makes you feel happy in your life, and about the different opportunities every day. Be grateful for each one of them and you will feel how your body will feel lighter and lighter, but full of positive energy and vitality.

Gratitude walk

Physical activity is also another habit that helps you feel much better both physically and spiritually. You can also combine this habit with gratitude. Take a few minutes to go for a walk and disconnect from the stress of your routine. Connect with nature, breathe fresh air, and refresh your mind. With every step you take, be grateful because you are a free person, because you breathe, and for every element that brings happiness to your life.

Benefits of gratitude for our life

As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, gratitude is a habit that can bring a lot of benefits to your life, and it is not something I say, as several scientific studies have proven the benefits of this habit for a calmer and stress-free life.
