Today, I advise all of you who are or will be working from home of the importance of creating a very strong morning routine. Ensure that we don’t make the mistake, as many do, of becoming comfortable and getting up in your pajamas to work. For women, get up, put on your make-up and do your hair! Don’t just sit there because nobody’s going to be looking at you and decide that you don’t have to get yourself pretty or even dress up to go to work which I know is going to be an adjustment for everyone. However, if you create this routine where you get up early, work out, do your exercise at home 20-30 minutes, then do a little meditation and listen to a reflection; start reflecting on all that is happening. How it is, how you are feeling, how it is affecting you, what areas of your life do you need to work on, what are the things that you can do to bring joy to your life. Believe it or not, when you go to the bathroom and look at yourself, you know you’re going to be looking at yourself in a different way; especially if you do your makeup, if you do your hair and you get dressed up as if you were going to work. It would give you a stronger foundation for your day, a stronger frame for your day and it would really help you have less of a chance of getting sad, depressed and anxious; something as simple as that. Therefore, every morning, I urge you to create those strong habits that are going to help you through these turbulent times.
Reflect, Reset and Reconnect.
